An amazing opportunity for children from 8-15 years of age
The next TACKERS ski and snowboard camp will be held in Anzère, Switzerland from 18 to 25 January 2015. Due to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to offer 50 places at the camp, requiring only a donation of €350 for each place, for children who have received an organ transplant and are aged from 8-15 years of age.
The camp is truly international, with children and staff from all over the world having fun in a fully-supervised environment.
Skiing and snowboarding for all levels of ability – complete beginner to advanced
The Viamonde counsellors create a fun learning environment on the slopes and as participants are usually first time skiers or boarders, knowing how to ski or snowboard is definitely not a requirement of camp.
Unaccompanied children welcome!
Children are welcome on their own. We will be pleased to meet children at Geneva airport or Sion train station and accompany them to and from camp.
Parents and siblings
Parents and siblings are welcome to come, too and we have negotiated special prices for accommodation, equipment rental and lift passes.
Supervision and health facilities
The counsellors provide 24 hour supervision and accompany the children to all activities, including the daily skiing and snowboarding. Importantly, we also have several nurses at camp as well as a transplant surgeon on call. The camp is 20 minutes from Sion hospital and just over an hour from the CHUV (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois), our nearest transplant centre.
Complete the application form here. Once we have received your application and provided that there remains availability at the camp, we will contact you by e-mail to confirm the enrollment and provide you with comprehensive information about the camp.
